Sandra L. Christman St. Johnsville- Sandra L. Christman, age 73, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024, at the Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY.
Born on April 19, 1950, in Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Famalaro) Piper and spent her childhood in Norwich, NY.
After attending college at SUNY Fredonia she worked for the Northville Central School district where she met her late husband, Paul Edwin Christman. They journeyed threw life together for 48 years prior to his passing in 2022.
A dedicated educator, Sandi devoted many years of service to Fort Plain Central School District, sharing her love for learning and enriching the minds of countless students. Her commitment to teaching was matched only by her dedication to her family and her passions, which included quilting and creating countless memories at her beloved camp with friends. Sandi was a cherished mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend.
She is survived by her children, Aaron Christman and Kathleen Mosser (Robert); beloved grandchild, Tony Mosser; brother, David Piper; and the extended family of cousins and dear friends.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
