Folk art fundraiser

This announcement comes to us from Palatine Bridge folk artist Denise Allen:
Join us next month on Sunday, February 24th, 2013, at the beautiful Canajoharie High School in Canajoharie, N.Y., for a gala fundraising event to raise monies for an outstanding young man in our upstate community to help pay for the costs of expensive medical treatment he will need to save his life. The event will take place from noon to 6 p.m. This special event will feature the 911 African American Folkart Story Quilt and will also include 100 limited edition giclee watercolor 911 African American Folkart prints. Denise Allen's 911 African American Folkart Story Quilt will be displayed at a fundraiser to benefit a Canajoharie resident who needs surgery for a serious medical condition. Limited-edition prints will be sold, as well. The event will take place Feb. 24 from noon to 6 p.m., at Canajoharie High School.
