It is championship night for the modified division at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park Saturday. Heading into Saturday night’s show, Jeff Brownell has a 19-point lead over JaMike Sowle and is 22 points up on defending track champion Craig Hanson. Brownell has made Glen Ridge his home track this season and has found his way to Victory Lane three times. He is coming off a 16th-place finish last Saturday. Sowle has been consistent all season, but is yet to be first under the checkers this year. Last week, Sowle and Hanson closed the gap on Brownell placing fourth and third respectively. Josh Hohenforst won last Saturday’s modified feature, the first of his career at The Ridge with Erik Nelson chasing him across the line. Also on Saturday’s card, along with the regular budget sportsman, street stock and cruiser division, is an added event for the pro stock division. The gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing staring at 7:30 p.m., weather permitting.
