JOHNSTOWN — The Johnstown Citizens Band was “reformed” in 1908, but has a history even longer, going back to military bands before 1900. Conductor Joe Walsh and Gloversville Citizens Band Conductor Norm Clo each are hitting their 50th year with the band. Clo said he came to Gloversville in 1957 working as Gloversville High School band director and joined the Johnstown Citizens Band the following year. “I played baritone horn at first and French horn the last 35 years,” Clo said.
