Newspapers In Education is a program to help teachers educate students through the use of newspapers. Reading, writing, math, research and communications skills form the foundation of lifelong learning skills essential for future success.

Sponsorship funds are used solely for funding the cost of newspapers so the NIE program can be offered at no cost to the educators. The Leader-Herald's NIE in the Classroom Program is designed to make reading and newspapers a fun and profitable learning experience.
