Shun people who are too lazy to work

POSTED: May 14, 2008

Is it a parent’s moral obligation to take care of his or her children?

There is a certain portion of our society that feels it can ride out life on the backs of hard-working Americans who struggle through life to have some kind of fruitful existence trying to keep up a household and family with both parents working. I think this will have a profound effect on the generation of children growing up today. We are teaching them that you don’t have to work or be a positive influence on society in order to have things in life.

Until we (the hard-working, honest Americans) do something about this problem, our children will be swept along on the downward spiral that will end in the termination of any chance to turn the tide of selfishness and greed that is threatening our future, and ultimately the death of morality.

I feel one thing we should do is shun those people who are too lazy to work for a living. I think we all know a few of these people. They are the people who sit home all day enjoying the luxuries we paid for while we’re at work just trying to earn enough to pay our bills.
