Lorraine M. ‘Loree’ Parillo
Lorraine M. “Loree” Parillo, 58, of Union Street Broadalbin, died Thursday morning, May 15, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Gloversville on August 31, 1949, a daughter of Arthur R. and Willedene Stevenson Goodemote and was a 1968 graduate of Broadalbin High School. Loree moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1970, where she lived for 27 years. In October 1996, she returned to Broadalbin.
Loree was employed as a resident aide at Lexington Center in Gloversville for the past 7 years.
She loved antiques and arts and crafts, but most of all, she loved to go bargain shopping!
Loree was a supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
She is survived by a son, Eric S. Parillo of San Diego, Ca.; her mother, Willedene Theurer of Amsterdam; a sister, Patricia “Del” (Paul) Masten of Broadalbin; two nephews, Jonathan and Robert Renda; a great-nephew, Devon Renda; and her beloved dog, Scarlet. In addition, Loree is survived by her family and friends at the Lexington Center in Gloversville.
Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 54 West Main Street, Broadalbin with Rev. Linda Martin. Final burial of remains will be held at the Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 38 West Main Street, Broadalbin.
