Nancy Alvera Demmert, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19th, in Santa Cruz, Ca. with her children by her side.

She was born Oct 12, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Harry and Marjorie LaCroix. Nancy was a creative and compassionate woman, a perfect example of a kind, giving individual who always thought of others before herself. She will be in our hearts forever. Nancy graduated from Toby Coburn School of Fashion and enjoyed music, sketching and reading. Her most enjoyable experience was putting her heart and soul into raising her children. Nancy, her husband Frank, and family resided in Gloversville, NY, before retiring to Long Boat Key, FL in 1995.

She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Belew of Santa Maria, CA, and Lisa Demmert of Santa Cruz, CA; one son, James Demmert of Tiburon, CA, along with 9 grandchildren; and one great-grand child. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Demmert Jr., in 1999; and her son, Frank Demmert III, in 2002. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's society.
