Seymour B. Williams
Seymour B. Williams, 94, of Division Street, Northville, died Tuesday December 2, 2008 at home following a long illness. He was born on May 18, 1914, in Hope Falls, NY. The son of the late Isaac and Portia Brownell Williams.
Seymour was a lifetime area resident and worked for General Electric for many years, and he was lastly employed by the town of Hope Highway Department.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elnora Davenport Williams, on February 13, 2004. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Carol Dyer; his brothers, Charles and John Williams; and his sister, Barbara Williams.
Survivors include his grandchildren: George Dyer of Albany, Theresa (Rick) LaJoy of Albany, Father Kevin Dyer of New Haven, Ct., and Maureen Dyer of Albany. One son-in-law, John Dyer of Albany and one sister, Mary LaFoe of Tribes Hill. Great grandchildren: Matthew, Jordan, and Michael LaJoy. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Friends may call on Monday December 8, 2008 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville, in the spring.
