Senior group plans trip to Oneonta
LASSELLSVILLE -The Senior Citizens of Western Fulton County met Aug. 10 with 15 people in attendance. After the buffet luncheon, Terry Blodgett, who is running for Fulton County Treasurer, dropped in to get acquainted with the seniors. The guest speaker was Beverly Schilling of the state Attorney General's office. Schilling spoke about frauds and scams. She also will be at the next meeting Sept. 14, speaking about identity theft. General clean up at the center is planned for all members Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. Please attend with your sleeves rolled up, ready to help clean, a news release said. A trip to the Butterfly Conservatory in Oneonta is planned Sept. 24. Anyone wishing to go can call Elsie Roberts at 993-3584. The cost of this trip will be $30 per person. Anyone wishing to come to meetings or join the group will be welcome. The meeting time will be at 10 a.m.
