Florence E. Paris

Florence E. Paris, age 90, of Broadalbin, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at home.

Florence was born in Gloversville, N.Y. on October 11, 1919, the daughter of the late Fred and Eliese (Deichsel) Dye.

She worked for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in Schenectady for 20 years.

Florence was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Schenectady. She was also a former member of the Gloversville Moose Lodge. Florence was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Florence is survived by: her daughter, Connie Harrison (Jerry) of Broadalbin; a granddaughter, Donna Waldvogel (Jeff) of Broadalbin; seven great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Michael, Nicole, Amanda, Russell, Connie, and Jeffrey "J"; and two great-great-grandsons, Russell Jr. and Tyler.

Additional survivors include: "Gram's two" Ted and Raymond Stone, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by: two husbands, Russell E. Muddle, whom she married on July 28, 1940. He passed away in 1987, and on March 25, 1989, she married Charles Paris. He passed away in 1999. Florence was also predeceased by: a brother, Merril Dye; a sister, Marion Born; a grandson, Jeff Stone; and a great-granddaughter, Melinda Stone.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin. Friends and relatives are invited and may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will take place in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville.
