GLOVERSVILLE - The Gloversville Republican Committee has endorsed incumbent supervisors Michael F. Gendron of the 3rd Ward and Michael Rooney of the 5th Ward, as well as Shirley Savage for 4th Ward supervisor.

Gendron and Rooney have a combined total of 20 years as supervisors, Gendron having served for 12 years and Rooney for eight. Each has served as chairman of the board and several committees.

Gendron, who has a bachelor's and a master's degree, taught at Gloversville High School and is retired as director of the Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
