GLOVERSVILLE - As a result of James Robinson being elected councilman-at-large in Tuesday's election, the Gloversville Republican Committee plans to meet with 3rd Ward residents interested in being considered for appointment to the seat Robinson will vacate on the Common Council.

Registered Republicans who live in the 3rd Ward may call Karen Smith, Gloversville GOP chairwoman, at 725-3243 by Tuesday.

The Common Council, which has a Republican majority, is expected to appoint someone to serve the remainder of Robinson's term in the 3rd Ward position.
