Robert R. Gifford and Ethel (Sweet) Gifford of Northville will celebrate their 70th anniversary in Florida, where they spend their winters.
The couple married Nov. 15, 1941, in the Northville area.
They both were glove workers in the Gloversville area and retired in New York state. They are lifelong residents of the Northville area and traveled a lot, which is how Florida became their winter home.

They have four children, Faye Deeas of Albany, Robert Jr. and Linda Warshona of Northville, and Diane Gifford of Florida; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
