Arnie and Roxie Eckerson of Mayfield recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Their children, Dorrine Young, Arlene Spencer, Arnold Eckerson Jr. and Suzanne Nash hosted a dinner party at the Raindancer Restaurant, Amsterdam.
The couple married March 18, 1962, in Sharon Springs, Schoharie County, at the home of her mother, Emma Slater Kornafels. The Rev. George Swartz officiated. The witnesses were Gene Ahl from Seward, Schoharie County, and Barbara Butler from Sharon Springs.
