Eva Culnan, 89, formerly of Lampman Road, Broadalbin, died Tuesday morning at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Gloversville.
She was born in Albany on January 23, 1923, a daughter of Otto and Anna Danz Scheidel, and was a graduate of Albany High School. Eva lived in Latham for thirty-seven years before moving to Broadalbin in 1985.
She was employed at JCPenney in Latham, retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Culnan was a member of the auxiliary of the American Legion and VFW, both of Broadalbin, and the Femmes of 40/8.
Eva enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was married to Kenneth F. Culnan on September 7, 1940. He died July 3, 1985.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth J. (Helen) Culnan of Broadalbin; three grandchildren, Brian, Ronald and Donald Culnan; several great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at noon at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 111 County Highway 106 (corner of Route 29 and Black Street), Johnstown, with the Rev. Linda Martin officiating. Calling hours will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
