GLOVERSVILLE - The Retired Gloversville Teachers Association had their fall meeting Oct. 2 at Harold's Restaurant.
The new slate of officers includes: Marion Lachanski, president; Vincent La Porta, vice president; Geraldine Samek, recording secretary; Samuel Vojtek, corresponding secretary; and John Mazur, treasurer.
The three new retired teachers were Patricia Donavan, Carol Edwards and Debra Zambella, who were introduced and presented with gifts.
Donald Harris spoke on the upcoming Retiree Council 12 trips: On Dec. 5, to New York City; March 18-19, 2013 Committee of 100.
The main speaker to the group was Tony Sinatra Simon, who spoke to the retirees on various programs that are available to them to maintain their physical health and mental well being. Some of the opportunities available are: Fitness, weight loss, empowerment through hypnosis; balance in your life; recharging emotional energy; caring for yourself and healing rainbow hypnosis.
The next meeting will be June 13.
