On behalf of the Friends of the Gloversville Library, I would like to thank the community for supporting the Friends' sixth-annual fundraiser, "Celebrating Life in the Adirondacks."
This event, to benefit the historic Carnegie library, was held at the library Sept. 23 and was attended by more than 100 people. More than $28,000 was raised and will be used as seed money for the long overdue replacement of the library's windows. Each year, proceeds from the fundraiser are used to make needed improvements in the library. Once again, the Friends are overwhelmed by this community's generous support of the library.
Thank you to all who helped to make this year's fundraiser a success.
