On behalf of the Johnstown Council of Churches, we want to thank everyone who helped make the Nov. 10 Boy Scout Food Drive a success. The generosity of the good people of Johnstown once again was evident by the large amount of food collected. To date, 1,510 items were picked up by the Boy Scouts.
We want to thank the members of the Boy Scouts and their leaders. A special thank you to the group of high school students who helped with the sorting. I would like to thank all our volunteers who helped sort the food. It was a magnificent community effort. This food will certainly help us provide for the needy during the upcoming months.
