FONDA-The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office filed charges Thursday against an Amsterdam man for allegedly stabbing a man during an argument in October.
Gregory Lavallo, 23, of 39 Evelyn Ave., is facing charges of first-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Lavallo remains at large, police said.
Police said Lavallo was identified as the suspect in a stabbing that occurred Oct. 4 in the city on Wesleyan Avenue, near the intersection with Chapel Place.
Police previously said the victim was stabbed after an argument with the suspect. Police said the victim was released from Albany Medical Center Hospital and is recovering from severe stab wounds to his chest and leg.

Zachary L. Parisi, 20, of 60 E. Main St., Fonda, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary on Monday.
According to the district attorney's office, he was arrested for breaking into the Econo Lodge in the town of Glen on June 1.
He will be sentenced Feb. 5 and is expected to get six months in jail and five years of probation.
