Volunteer firefighters from Hagaman, and Perth also were on scene with Fulton County fire coordinators and Montgomery County fire coordinators.

The fire caused extensive damage to the two-car garage, with extensive smoke and water damage to the rest of the house.

Garth Hillier, of the Fulton County fire coordinators, said they were investigating the cause of the fire.

Lt. Neil Bartholoma of the Broadalbin Kennyetto department said the cause was still under investigation this morning.

Hillier said Wednesday that the house wasn't immediately habitable, but it wasn't a total loss.
