Many helped Breakfast with Santa event

December 8, 2012
The Leader Herald

On Dec. 1, the Gloversville Teachers' Association held Breakfast with Santa at the Senior Citizens Service Center of Gloversville & Fulton County as a fundraiser for the center. The board of the center wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to the GTA for its efforts. They provided free pictures with Santa, as well as a silent-auction donation, and served the breakfasts. Those from the GTA who gave so willingly of their time are Erin Fioretti, Mary Jo Lomanto, Leslie Beckett, Jill Plumadore, Amy Jacques, Megan Huslander, Sarah Looman, Nicole Naselli, Holly Cook and Allison Di Marco. Their tireless and selfless donation is an example of how they give back to their community.

The center's board also wishes to sincerely thank Price Chopper, Hannaford, the Catholic War Veterans and members of the center board for their donations. Additionally, craft items were made and donated by Alice Loyal, a member of the Red Hat Society, for the craft sale.

In addition to the GTA members, Dave Cook, Jennifer Huckans, Scout Huckans, Harper Huckans, Henry Huckans, Jessica Mooney, Mary Lou and John Adams, and Mike and Barbara DiMarco all worked to make the event a success for the children and families who attended. Without your tireless assistance, the Breakfast with Santa would not have been as successful. Thank you.

Without activities like this, the center could not continue to serve the needs of the seniors of our county.
