AMSTERDAM - A city man was charged Monday in the Nov. 24 robbery of a gas station.
Johnathan Palombo, 26, of 38 James St., was charged with third-degree robbery and petit larceny for his involvement in the robbery of the Kings Food and Fuel, city police said.
Palumbo also was charged with failure to register an address change as a sex offender, a felony, and failure to appear on a bench warrant, a violation. The defendant was held for arraignment in City Court.
Police found Palombo Monday. They said he was wanted on bench and arrest warrants and was interviewed about the robbery while at police headquarters. Police said he made admissions of guilt.
Palumbo allegedly entered Kings Food and Fuel on Guy Park Avenue and threatened an employee, claiming he had a weapon. He stole cash and ran, police said.
