JOHNSTOWN - HealthLink Littauer announced its first series of childbirth preparation classes next year will begin Jan. 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at its wellness center, 213 Harrison St. Ext.
Christine Ney, a registered nurse and certified childbirth educator of the Birthing Center at Littauer, said in a news release that topics will include what to expect in late pregnancy, breathing and relaxation techniques, labor and delivery, newborn care and feeding options.
The classes will meet once weekly for five weeks, ending Feb. 6. A $45 fee per couple includes the five classes. Scholarships are available for those in need.
