GALWAY?- Galway Central School was closed today due to illness, according to an announcement on the district's website.
The announcement cited a problem with people having "viral type symptoms including headaches, fever, vomiting ..."
People were barred from entering the school today except for a cleaning crew "who will be thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing the building in an effort to help keep everyone healthy," according to the website.
Afternoon and evening activities also were canceled today.
