GLOVERSVILLE?- The Fulton County Federal Credit Union has announced that as of Dec. 28, it will be joined by the Niagara Mohawk Power Mohawk Division Federal CU.

Niagara Mohawk's 614-person membership will join Fulton County Federal's roughly 10,700 active members, according to a news release.

The merger followed a recent ballot vote in November in which a majority of Niagara Mohawk Power Mohawk Division FCU supported the merger.

Niagara Mohawk Power Mohawk Division FCU had a branch location at 20 Hill St.

With the merger, the Fulton County Federal Credit Union will have a combined 11,600 members and nearly $79 Million in assets. The credit union is at 355 Hales Mills Road, near where the new Gloversville Walmart Supercenter is being built.

"We're very pleased to welcome Niagara Mohawk Power Mohawk Division FCU members to the FCFCU family and look forward to serving their financial needs for many years to come," said Timothy R. Myers, president and CEO of the Fulton County Federal Credit Union, in the release.
