Beverly M. Shults, age 81, of Gloversville, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Nathan Littauer Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Shults was born on July 21, 1930, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late John Miner and Mabel Katen Miner.
Beverly worked for Daytona Novelty Company, Amsterdam Glove Company and also Johnstown Knit. She was a member of the Johnstown Reformed Church and also was a former member of the Gloversville Moose.
Survivors include five sons, John Brooker of Edinburg, Paul Brooker, Kenneth Brooker Jr., David Brooker and Michael Brooker, all of Gloversville; four daughters, Judy Webber of Benson, Shirley Stevens of Glen, Brenda Porter and Jo Ann Kline, both of Gloversville; 43 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Brooker Sr.; second husband, Alton Shults; two sons, Mark Brooker and Terry Brooker; and four sisters, Caroline Lowell, Betty Jacobs, June Lair and Jean Flansburg.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Family and friends may call on Wednesday one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown.
