December 18, 2012
The Leader Herald

SPRAKERS-Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said a man was charged Friday after a three-week investigation into a burglary at the Tumbleweeds Saloon in November.

Scott A. Clapper, Jr., 28, of 301 Main St., Schoharie, was charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Deputies said Clapper entered the building Nov. 22, where he stole $450 out of the cash register.

Deputies said investigators received a tip that led to Clapper, who was at the Schenectady County Jail on an unrelated charge.

Clapper was processed and arraigned in Charleston Town Court. He was sent to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
