MINDEN - Frank Alford was declared the winner of the Town Justice election after the ruling Monday on ballots related to the 46th Senate District race between Republican?George Amedore and Democrat Cecilia Tkaczyk.
Alford won with 524 votes over Cindea Bradley's 516, according to Election Commissioner Jaime Duchessi. Ronald Bentz, the third nominee, received 226 votes.
The election's result was held up because the eligibility of six ballots in the 46th Senate District race had to be determined.
