AMSTERDAM - A city woman was charged Dec. 21 as part of a drug ring that was busted in November, according to local police.
Brittnie Persico, 23, of 52 Sanford Ave., was charged with sixth-degree conspiracy in connection with the mid-November arrests of 12 Amsterdam residents on drug charges.
Detective Lt. Kurt Conroy said some of those arrested were members of the Latin Kings gang.
The raids and arrests followed a five-month investigation, police said. The city Police Department, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Schenectady County SWAT, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies, the Montgomery County SWAT and the FBI Capital District Gang Task Force all were involved in the raids.
Search warrants were executed at the first floor of 68 Arnold Ave., 70 Arnold Ave., the first floor of 83 Academy St., the second floor of 24 Dewitt St. and part of 2 Harrison Ave.
Persico is not alleged to be a member of the gang. Persico is the 18th person charged in relation to the raids, and Conroy said more arrests are pending.
