Nancy B. Thompson, age 93, died February 8, 2013, in Clinton Township, Michigan. Mrs. Thompson was born October 1, 1919, in Esperance, New York, and grew up in Schoharie, New York. She moved to Gloversville as a young adult. It was here that she worked and raised her family. Her move to Michigan was prompted by failing health.
She was a member of Peoples A.M.E. Zion Church, its Missionary Society and Contingent Fund Club. Mrs. Thompson was predeceased by her husband, Frank Thompson Sr.; seven sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharan Love of Greenbelt, Maryland; and son, Frank Thompson Jr. (Annabelle) of Clinton Township; three grandchildren, Desiree Railine of Johnstown, New York, Garrett Hoffman of Auburn Hills, Michigan and LaKeisha Chandler of Mt. Clemens, Michigan; as well as four great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gloversville Funeral Service, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville. Services will be held at Peoples A.M.E. Zion Church on Friday, February 15, 2013; viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral at 11 a.m.
