FONDA - Emily Parslow sank the game-winning basket with 7 seconds remaining in Thursday night's Colonial Council finale to give the Fonda-Fultonville girls basketball team a 55-54 win over league champion and the top seed in the Section II Class B tournament, Watervliet.
Parslow finished with a game-high 19 points for the Lady Braves (8-10 overall, 6-10 Colonial Council). Cassandra Egelston scored 13 points and Taylor Wetsky added 10.
Ailayia Demand led Watervliet (16-2 overall, 15-2 Colonial Council) with 18 points and Mikayla DeGuire, who left the game with a fourth-quarter knee injury, finished with 12.
Fonda-Fultonville will open play in the Section II Class B tournament with a play-in game tonight against Cairo-Durham.
