Mr. Klump

Charlie was a member of the Canajoharie Country Club, where he spent many hours during the summers golfing and socializing. In the winters, Charlie traveled to Myrtle Beach, where he golfed with his many friends. He was known in high school for his basketball talents and was a member of the famous championship team of the late 1950s. He attended Ithaca College.

Charlie worked for 13 years at Life Savers and spent the rest of his working career with the Sheet Metal Union as a sheet metal worker. His profession took him to Las Vegas to live for seven years. Upon retirement, Charlie returned to his hometown of Palatine Bridge, where he could be found sitting on the front porch waving to everyone.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canajoharie Fire Department, P.O. Box 28, Canajoharie, NY, where he was a volunteer for 30 years, or a charity of your choice. Guest book available at MyrtleBeachFuneralHome.com.
