Man sentenced in DWI case

The Leader Herald

JOHNSTOWN - A Gloversville man was sentenced Thursday in Fulton County Court to one year in the county jail in a drinking and driving case.

Eric R. Johnson, 41, of 8 McKinley Place, was sentenced by Judge Polly A. Hoye to jail time and assessed a $1,500 fine as part of a plea arrangement.

Sentencing was based on his Feb. 7 guilty plea to one felony count of driving while intoxicated.

He was charged Dec. 20 in the town of Perth after being stopped by state police.

Because Johnson had a previous DWI conviction, the new charge was upgraded to a felony.
