JOHNSTOWN - Matt Szurek finished with three hits, three runs scored and two RBIs to lead Johnstown to a 12-5 win over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council baseball contest Monday.

Connor Rodecker had an RBI and a triple for Johnstown (2-0 overall, 2-0 Foothills), while Ryan Auty had two singles.

Dylan O'Sick and Mike Harrington each had two hits and an RBI for Glens Falls (0-3 Foothills).

QUEENSBURY - Charlie Peltz and Zack Parsons combined to strike out 12 and allow just one hit to lead Queensbury to a win over Broadalbin-Perth.

Reed Farrier had a single and a double for the Spartans (3-1 overall, 2-0 Foothills). Brett Rodriguez, Eric Daley and Peltz each had an RBI single for Queensbury

Pat Brown scored the lone run for Broadalbin-Perth (2-2 overall, 2-1 Foothills), while Luigi Magliocca had the lone hit - an infield single.

FORT PLAIN - Trent Douglas, Jesse Heroth and Zack Sweet combined on a no-hitter to lead Fort Plain to a shutout win over Sharon Springs.

Drew Fureno and Kiernan Briggs each had four singles for Fort Plain (3-0 overall, 3-0 WAC). Fureno finished with three RBIs, while Briggs had two RBIs.

Chris Hanifin added a single, triple and two RBIs for the Hilltoppers.

The Cougars scored five times in the top of the seventh on their way to the win.

MAYFIELD - Sean McGarry had a double to lead Duanesburg to a win over Mayfield.

Henry Holmes had a single for the Eagles' only other hit against Mayfield's Jordan VanNostrand.

VanNostrand struck out seven and allowed just two hits for the Panthers (2-2 overall, 2-1 WAC).

Luke VanNostrand had an RBI single for Mayfield, while Bobby Gates had a double.

Jordan VanNostrand and Riley Yager each had singles for the Panthers.

DOLGEVILLE - Kasey Foster struck out seven, allowed three hits and walked none to lead Dolgeville to a win over Frankfort-Schuyler.

The complete-game win was Foster's first varsity victory.

Foster also had two singles and two RBIs for the Blue Devils (1-0 overall, 1-0 CSC).

Alex Johnson and Johann Doerrer each had two hits for Dolgeville, while Mackenzie Ferguson, Reid Johnson, Dakota Walrath and Daniel Fox each had a single.

Dolgeville is scheduled to travel to Herkimer on Wednesday.
