H.S. Softball Roundup: Ozea spoils Scotia-Glenville no-hit bid

GLOVERSVILLE - Natalie Ozea picked up the lone hit for Gloversville as the Huskies dropped their Foothills Council softball game to Scotia-Glenville, 6-0.

Jen Mayette connected for a single, double and triple for the Lady Tartans, while Allison Stuart had a triple and a single. Kayla DeAprix added three singles, while Kacina Roman and Zoe Purvis had two singles apiece.

Gloversville returns to its home diamond today at 4:30 p.m. for a league game against Broadalbin-Perth.

MAYFIELD - The Lady Panthers committed nine errors but pitcher Anna Husain struck out 12 batters and allowed one hit to help Mayfield eke out their WAC North victory.

The game was tied with two outs in the bottom of the seventh when Lyndsey Barber delivered an RBI single to give the Lady Panthers the win.

Nicole Little had a double and three RBIs for Mayfield,while Barber finished with two singles and two RBIs.

Rylie Smith picked up the lone hit for St. Johnsville.
