Betty Jean Havlicek, age 75, of Johnstown, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013, at home with her family at her side.
Born on January 25, 1938, in Gloversville, she was the daughter of the late John Steenburgh and Marion King Steenburgh.
Betty was a 1956 graduate of Fonda High School and was a homemaker.
She was longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Johnstown.
Survivors include her husband, James Havlicek; one son, Greg Havlicek (Bonnie) of Johnstown; two daughters, Debbie (David) Dresser of Johnstown and Dawn Perron (Mark) of Rockwood; two sisters, Lois (Ronald) Pettit of Fort Plain and Donna Steenburgh of Johnstown; grandchildren, Stacy Frasier, Jessica Korona, Calli Frasier, Jennifer Wenskoski, Megan Williams, Jeremie Frasier, Nate Perron, Nicole Freeney and Morgan Havlicek; eleven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Frances Steenburgh of Florida; brother-in-law, Howard Crosby of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Denise Havlicek; granddaughter, Amy Frasier; brothers, Archie, John and Daryl Steenburgh; and sister, Eleanor Crosby.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
Visitation for family and friends will be on today, April 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
