H.S. Baseball Roundup: Averill Park tops Gloversville, 7-2

AVERILL PARK - Sam Beaulac was 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Averill Park to a 7-2 win over Gloversville in a non-league baseball game Friday.

Chris Arnold was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored for the Warriors, while Tyler Childrose, Greg Hotaling, Ben Reinsch and Alex Tomlinson all had singles.

Justin Putman was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Gloversville (4-6 overall), while Chris Rockefeller, David Vandenabeele and Jordan Himpsl all had singles.

Mekeel Christian 6, Mayfield 2

SCOTIA - Tyler Guido pitched a three-hitter, leading Mekeel Christian Academy to a win over Mayfield.

Guido struck out six and walked two on his way to the complete-game win.

Rhein Zeronda doubled for Mekeel Christian (5-3 WAC), while Shaun King and Ohieno Miller added singles.

Bobby Gates took the loss for Mayfield (3-9 overall, 3-7 WAC), allowing four hits, striking out seven and walking four.

Gates and Alex Charbonneau had doubles for the Panthers, while Luke VanNostrand added a single.
