Hoagboon, Nethaway help Albany to wins

ALBANY - Mayfield graduate D.J. Hoagboon and Fonda-Fultonville graduate Josh Nethaway, both juniors on the University at Albany baseball team, helped the Great Danes sweep University of Maryland-Baltimore County in a doubleheader Saturday.

Albany won the first game 5-0 and the second game 10-1.

In the first game, Hoagboon was 3-for-3 with a run scored, while Nethaway was 1-for-3.

In the second game, Nethaway was 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored, while Hoagboon was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Albany (19-16-1 overall, 12-8 America East) will host UMBC today at noon.
