JOHNSTOWN - The Fulton-Montgomery Community College baseball team won both ends of its home doubleheader with Hudson Valley Community College on Tuesday.
FMCC won the first game 6-2 and the second game 5-1.
In the first game, Matt Snyder earned the win on the mound for the Raiders.
Snyder struck out six, walked one and allowed seven hits in seven innings of work.
Juan Melendez had a double for FMCC, while Greg Ruddy had a triple. Zeb Gaston had a single and two RBIs, while Bryant Solano and Jeffery Rodriguez each had hits. Dylan Pechtel, Rodriguez and Greg Mosetti each added RBIs.
Andrew Kozak and Anthony Scaccia each had two hits for HVCC, while Jarrod Ford added a single and two RBIs.
In the second game, Ruddy was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored for FMCC.
Nick Pontari pitched a complete-game two-hitter for the Raiders.
Shawn Strong had two hits and two RBIs for FMCC, while Gaston and Pechtel each had a hit and scored a run.
Kelvyn Vasquez also had a hit for the Raiders, while Mosetti had a single and two runs scored.
Brad Adams and John Craig had the only hits for HVCC.
Fonda-Fultonville graduate Charles Parslow went 0-for-7 on the day for HVCC.
