Kenneth Gray, age 81, of Stratford, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in Gloversville, at the home of his daughter surrounded by his family.
Born on January 16, 1932, in Lassellsville, he was the son of the late Clarence Gray and Anna Mae Smith Gray.
Ken was employed as a construction worker for Capital District Construction Local 6 until his retirement.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and enjoyed playing the harmonica and singing, listening to his brother, Leonard playing guitar and singing.
On August 12, 1994, he married his loving wife, Gayle I. Gray and she died December 31, 2010. His first wife, Edna Cool survives.
Survivors include Sam (Sherry) Gray, Kenneth Gray Jr., Donald (Crystal) Ciani, Debra Gray Lamont, Gloria Gray Horton, Brenda Gray, Lisa (Robert) Dwyer, Jeannie Fuhs and Mary Leon; siblings, Danny Gray, Leonard Gray, Clarence Gray Sr., George Gray, Robert Gray, Edward Gay, Earl Folts, Robert Folts, Rodney Folts, Elma Hoyer, Louise Gray, Jennie Gray, Beverly Myers, Maryland Williams; grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Steven, Sierra Horton, Anna Ilnicki, A.J. (Chrissy) Lamont, Kyle Lamont, Ashlyn Charron, Myles, Bradley, Ryan Clifford, Grant Durland, Kristen Gray, Jeffrey Wadsworth, Autumn, Ashley Ciani, Nile, Chance, Nijel Gray, Brianna Horton, Kenneth Ouderkirk, Dominique Persse, Michael, Cory, Robert Jr., Dwyer, Sarah, Edward, Christopher Leon, Jamie, Shane Scism, Joshua, Charise, Jerimiah Horton; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved dog, Joe.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Norman Gray, Louise Meaulbeck, Francis Goodsill, William and George Gay.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 1 p.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. The Pastor Hugh Robinson will officiate.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Fort Plain Cemetery.
