QUEENSBURY - Lauren Stamatel scored in the final moments to lift Glens Falls to an 8-7 win over Johnstown in the quarterfinals of the Section II Class C girls lacrosse tournament Tuesday at Morse Athletic Complex.
The goal was Stamatel's third of the game for the second-seeded Indians.
It was the fifth one-goal loss of the season for Johnstown.
Monica Harvey scored twice for Glens Falls, while Emma Morrissey added a goal and an assist.
Christine Hogan and Sarah Frandsen also scored for the Indians.
Emma Heroth scored four goals for Johnstown, which rallied from a 4-2 halftime deficit to tie the game in the second half.
Kendra McCoy, Morganne Dick and Nakia Sweetman also scored for the Lady Bills, while Megan Anagnostopulos added an assist.
Alexis Livingstone made four saves for Johnstown.
Glens Falls (12-5 overall) will host third-seeded Emma Willard on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. in the semifinals.
Emma Willard posted a 10-6 win over sixth-seeded Scotia-Glenville on Tuesday.
Johnstown finished its season with a 5-12 overall record.

Heroth had six goals for the Lady?Bills, while McCoy had three goals. Bridgia Valk scored twice for Johnstown, while Anagnostopulos added two goals and an assist.
Emily Smrtic, Molly?Morrison and Morganne Dick also scored for the Lady Bills.
Courtney Coons finished with seven goals and two assists to lead South?Glens Falls, while Emily Vetter scored four goals.
