Tracy L. Christiano, age 42 of Gloversville, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tracy was born in Gloversville on October 6, 1970. She was surrounded by her loving family and devoted caregiver Robert untill the end. Ever a socialite, Tracy loved to be with her many friends and family. A devoted mother to her children, Tracy and Robert raised two sons Nicholas and Christopher and one daughter Sydney.
Mrs. Christiano was a Class of 1988 graduate of Gloversville High School. She received her A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies from Herkimer County Community College and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Empire State College. Tracy worked for many years with the New York State Office of Court Administration, most recently as legal secretary for Family Court Judge Skoda in Johnstown.
Survivors include her best friend and soul mate of 17 years Robert W. Loux of Gloversville; two sons Nicholas Smith and Christopher Smith, one daughter Sydney Loux, one step daughter Alyssa Loux, Father Anthony Christiano (Denis Belden) and Mother Jacquelyn Christiano of Gloversville, one brother Todd (Kathi) Christiano of Gloversville; two sisters Toni (Ron) Andrest of Gloversville and Tiffany Christiano of Johnstown, aunts, uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church., 12 James Street, Gloversville with Pastor Peter Ellis.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, May 27 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
Memorial contributions in Tracy's memory may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
