Louis Neapolitan, 92, of South Plainfield, N.J., died on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at home.
Born in Johnstown, N.Y., he grew up in Gloversville, N.Y. and had resided in South Plainfield for over 50 years.
He served with the Navy during WW II.
Mr. Neapolitan worked as a manager for General Electric in their Aircraft Services Repair Shops in Linden prior to retiring from General Motors in Clark as an expert welder.
Louis was also a fantastic woodworker and enjoyed crafting furniture, toys, clocks and more.
Surviving are his wife, Ziara; his two daughters, Nancy Kazimir and Kathy Olpinski and her husband, Robert, both of South Plainfield; his sister, Carmella Adair of California; and three grandchildren, Gina Kazimir and her husband, Philip Hosmer and Matthew and Robert Olpinski.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, www.mccriskinfuneralhome.com, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
