BROADALBIN - Broadalbin-Perth families with children entering grades one through nine can now sign up for the B-P Summer Enrichment Camp.
A variety of weeklong courses are available, including dancing, cooking, acting, crafting, art, magic, reading, writing, running and outdoor adventure programs.
The four one-week sessions are planned for July 15-19, July 22-26, July 29-Aug. 2, and Aug. 5-9. Session 1 courses will take place daily, 8:30 to 10 a.m., and Session 2 courses will take place 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.
Each one-week course costs $25, which must be paid at the time of registration. All courses will take place at the Broadalbin site, which houses The Learning Community and high school.
There are enrollment limits for some courses; courses will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, all courses are designed to meet the needs of specific age groups: Students entering grades one to three, grades four to six and grades seven to nine.
Broadalbin-Perth will also offer a four-week summer drama program for students entering grades one through nine, under the direction of Brian Clemente, class of 2008. The cost of the program is $100, and summer drama participants will not be able to take other camp courses.
The summer drama program will culminate in a public performance at 6 p.m. Aug. 9 in the high school auditorium. A participants' meeting for both parents and students will take place 8:30 to 9 a.m. July 15 in the auditorium.
Registration forms should be dropped off at The Learning Community office by June 21. Parents also can register their children during a registration night 4 to 7 p.m. June 25 at The Learning Community office.
The registration period closes July 1; late registrations will not be accepted.
