Gloversville man faces burglary charge

GLOVERSVILLE - City police said officers arrested a man at about 2 a.m. Sunday after they saw him with stolen property.

Geoffrey Marple, 43, of 10 Lincoln St., was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, both felonies, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Police said while on patrol, officers saw a man carrying numerous items near Temple and Lincoln streets. Officers determined Marple was in possession of stolen property and had just burglarized Bree's on North Main Street, police said.

Marple was arraigned before City Court Judge Joan Antonik and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility without bail.
