Sally R. Cozzolino

Sally R. Cozzolino, 61, of Bleecker Street, Gloversville, entered through Heaven's gates on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with ALS. She was born in Gloversville, N.Y., on November 17, 1951, the daughter of Herbert and Helen Sitts Ward.

Sally was a graduate of Gloversville High School class of 1969 and was employed and retired from Universal/MCA Records in Gloversville.

Sally enjoyed family and friends, she took pride in her flower garden, sunbathing at her pool and enjoyed family get togethers. She especially loved the visits and support of her brother-in-law, Tony Cozzolino. She enjoyed long scenic rides on the Harley with her husband, Bob and friends. Sally's dogs, Rosie, Tobin and Molly gave her unconditional love.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Cozzolino of Gloversville, whom she married July 28, 1970; her mother, Helen Ward; two sons, Domonic and Shawn (Shannon) Cozzolino; grandchildren, Anthony, Tiffany, Brandon, Shawn, Miranda, Merisa and Angela; great-granddaughter, Isabella.

She is also survived by her siblings, Charlene Damico, Frances (Albert) Williams, Frank Ward, Lillian (Don) Hauser, Linda (Eddie) Brockham, John Ward, Michael (Marion) Ward, Danielle (Todd) Shibley, half brother and sisters, Bob (Vi) Ward, Mary Terry and Sharon (Ken) Benson, mother-in-law, Mary Cozzolino, brother-in-law, Tony Cozzolino; and sisters-in-law, Grace (Glenn) Carter and Norma Jean Boyson. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.

She was predeceased by her father, Herbert Ward; her daughters, Angela and Kim Cozzolino; and her sisters, Shirley Salvione, Caroline Ward and Dorothy Kruger.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 27, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Gloversville Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Hospital, ALS Regional Center, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany, NY 12205.
