Avery Ann Rudy-White, loving mother and grandmother of Fort Mill, South Carolina, formerly of Gloversville, New York, passed away at Piedmont Medical Center July 9, 2013, after a brief illness with her son, Mike and daughter-in-law, Beth by her side.
Born in Gloversville, New York, on October 9, 1934, she was the loving daughter of the late William "Chet" and Lois Durand Rudy. Avery was employed at Nathan Littauer Hospital Extended Care Facility as a CNA until her retirement in October 1996.
Avery was a member of the SEIU United Healthcare Workers Union.
Avery was also predeceased by her husband, Charles. Survivors include four sons, Mark of Clifton Park, New York, Tim (Lori), Chris of Gloversville and Mike (Beth) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; aunt, Emily Durand Davidson, with whom she shared her childhood; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Eric, TJ, Tamara, Ashley, Patrick and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Zoe, Kylee, and Gavin.
A visitation will be held at the North Main Street Methodist Church on Saturday, July 20, from 11 a.m. to noon with a prayer service immediately following.
Burial will be private at the Edinburg Cemetery, Edinburg, N.Y.
