Field Hockey Roundup: Lady Bills trounce Tigers, 13-0

JOHNSTOWN - Nicole Bentley scored three first-half goals as Johnstown rolled to a 13-0 win over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council field hockey contest Tuesday at Knox Field.

Mackenzie Rogers recorded two goals and two assists for the Lady Bills, while Chelsea Rodecker and Emily Havlicek each had two goals and an assist.

Kelsi Barnholt had a goal and two assists for Johnstown (3-1 overall, 2-0 Foothills), while Hope Cerasuolo, Breanna VanValkenburgh and Christina Bridge also scored.

Michaela Etherton and Bridgit Valk each had an assist for the Lady Bills, who led 10-0 at halftime.

The Lady Bills outshot Hudson Falls 69-0 and finished with a 19-1 advantage in penalty corners.

Kristin Wright didn't need to make a save to earn the shutout win in goal.

Nicole Wojtowecz made 56 saves for the Tigers.

Johnstown is scheduled to host Queensbury on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Queensbury 7, Gloversville 0

QUEENSBURY - Christie Raymond finished with three goals and an assist, leading Queensbury to a shutout win over Gloversville.

Claire Murphy scored twice for the Lady Spartans, while Aisling McAllister recorded a goal and two assists.

Brianna Pierce added a goal and an assist for Queensbury (1-1 overall, 1-1 Foothills).

Mallory Perry, Jenna Lei Brand, Katie Zilka, Phelicia Gignac and Julia Sante each had an assist for the Lady Spartans.

Christina Galatioto and Lauren DeLor combined to make three saves, sharing the shutout win in goal for Queensbury.

Bailey Pieniazek made eight saves for Gloversville.

The Huskies, who slipped to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in?Foothills Council play, are slated to host Scotia-Glenville on?Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
