Jacqueline E. Lein, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend of many, passed away on September 4, 2013, at Abbey Manor in Elkton, Md., at the age of 80 years. Born on April 9, 1933, in Schenectady, N.Y., she spent most of her life living in and around the Schenectady and Northville, N.Y. area.
She moved in 1958 to Northville where she lived for over 50 years until she moved to be closer to her children. During her time in Northville, she raised her five children and was an important contributor to the community and to her church. She taught reading at Northville Central School for many years and, following her retirement, continued to work at the Adirondack Country Store, serving both the community and its many visitors.
She was a dedicated supporter of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Northville, serving in many roles, as member of the choir, as sacristan and in bereavement ministry as coordinator of funeral services and luncheons. Jacqueline loved campfires, a good Manhattan and time with friends and family, and she will truly be missed.
